Stress explained as thought

Consider our brain as an area of a sheet of an A4 size paper. Consider this page contains our thoughts and each thought occupies, say, one square cm of area. That means our brain can contain some 625 thoughts at any time. Right?

What happens when one thought increases in size and starts to occupy more area? The other thoughts will get squeezed and will be pushed outside the sheet of paper. If the paper size cannot be increased, some of the thoughts will be reduced in size to accommodate the Larger thought.

When we make that one thought larger than others, it becomes Focus. Here we have complete control on that thought and its size.

If we don’t have control on a thought and if it increases in size, it squeezes all other thoughts and make them negligible in size. We call this Stress

The single large thought would eventually tend to move or expand on all the directions and in the process push the other thoughts harder. When the page has fixed boundaries, the large thought itself gets squeezed and tends to tear the paper along. Is this called Depression?

The catch is, each thought is associated with our feelings. An uncontrolled, growing thought leads to uncontrollable feelings or emotions. Whereas, a controlled thought, when we grow it larger, becomes FOCUS and is often associated with supportive feelings.

The Control we have on our thoughts and hence on our feelings is through our ATTITUDE

COVID19 Lockdown Inspirations

Wellbeing during COVID19 Lockdown – No Places of Worship; Still Prayers aplenty

The unexpected, unbelievable Lockdown brought the country to a halt. Shops, Schools, Travel, Malls, Cinemas, Industries, Offices, Amazon, Swiggy, Courier and almost everything was shut. One of the ironical aspects was in spite of closing all educational institutions, learning happened like never before. Now let me share another pleasant irony in terms of places of worship against devotion.

Wellbeing During COVID19 Lockdown – It’s nothing to do with the VIRUS

What should this be called? When all the educational institutions are locked down, learning has shot through the roof. Yes. People have learnt things that they have never dreamt of. For some it is ‘life-time’ learning’ and for some it is ‘never before in my life I learnt so much’.
Yes, Life always gives you both. “Nothing” and “Everything”. What you choose is what stays with you.
